The Most Powerful Currency of the Century Is Being Born (And You Haven't Noticed Yet) 

The changes presented at Google I/O 2025 were impressive. After a few decades involved with technology, seeing new things is no longer a novelty — and being surprised, then, is even more difficult. I don't believe anyone can be surprised by a launch, no matter how unusual, that is, in fact, a true novelty. That hasn't happened in a long time. What we see more often are small leaps that, in a way, still manage to impress us. An example is the self-driving car: despite seeming extraordinary, it's just another idea conceived decades ago that slowly evolved until it made a recent leap — and then shines in our eyes as a great novelty.

That said, what we saw at Google I/O was exactly a variety of services and innovations following this same script. But one thing, in fact, could change the world and the way society will be organized. Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention at the time, nor did I stop to imagine the real impact of what I saw!

And you must be wondering: am I talking about Google Veo 2? Android XR? Beams? aiStudio? The satellite network identifying the beginnings of wildfires worldwide? No, no, no, no, no... none of that!

The great paradigm shift for humanity is called AI CREDITS. That's right: a new CURRENCY! At least, that's how I imagine the future. While Mr. Trump threatened countries concerned about the abandonment of the dollar, and Bitcoin proved to be a pharaonic pyramid with an expiration date determined by quantum computers, AI, and energy issues, a new possibility emerged.

But as John Lennon would say: "Imagine." Imagine the scenario a few "years, months, days" from now. People will start accumulating AI credits as a form of wealth. After all, I can exchange AI credits for work. Hmm... this reminds me of a certain Karl. But let's continue!

In this scenario, imagine I need to develop something: a video for my mayoral campaign in Sete Lagoas, or even have AI orchestrate my campaign, create a jingle, a slogan... whatever! Call to reserve a table at a restaurant... anything. I'll need AI credits. My antivirus will need AI credits. The store's system too. Everything you can imagine could have a charge in AI credits.

Well, if they start charging AI credits for everything, soon — not being foolish — I conclude that whoever has many credits will be rich. But I also conclude that they can transfer some of those credits to me, in exchange for some work or product I have.

And now, my friends, just pull the thread of this ball of yarn to realize that we have just created THE STRONGEST AND MOST IMPORTANT CURRENCY IN THE WORLD!

So, for Google, here's my tip: implement credit transfers soon. Secondly, define a quotation for the credit, and you will also have the most important asset/commodity of the last 200 years.

And give me unlimited credits, after all... there's no free lunch!

Stock exchanges should already be poring over this. B3, wake up! If people were buying carbon credits, imagine AI credits.
